Babies?

True Story: Was walking towards Mr Swan today and he blanked me (As usual). Than a bypasser tried to come a closer to see Mrs Swan on the nest and got warned off, I was between Mr Swan & the nest (Sat about 5 feet from each).

The passer by got to within about 20 feet of Mr Swan when he started puffing up and hissing, which got worse as they edged closer. Cue passer by giving me the strangest look, leaving and Mr Swan sitting about 4 feet away from me and started to have a prune.

I think I have been accepted into the family?!? Do birds remember specific people? Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

(And yes, I was terrified when he was moving closer as he was still slightly puffed up...)
