Live, love, laugh

Traffic

This morning the schoolbus got stuck in some typical Chinese traffic. What I find very strange here is that all the cars hunk a lot. And with a lot I mean for everything! They honk if you are in the way of course, but also when they are passing you or if you go to slow or seemingly so they honk when they feel like it. But they never hunk because they are actually annoyed, or at least, they don't show that emotion. It is a little bit strange for me to witness.

Work was nice. Played with the kids in the morning and had game class in the afternoon. I realized today that I am so glad that I choose to work with children. Three years ago I made this decision and I now realize how happy I am with that. Children can bring so much joy. Today I got made at one because he was pinching me. But just a few minutes later he came to sit on my lap and hugged me.
Also one of the other children made me feel very happy today. This kid is very autistic; he stares at his own hands a lot and likes to bow his fingers in ways they should not be able to bow in. So I like to distracting him from this by playing with him and letting him play with my hands. At the end of today he was jumping up and down because he had so much fun and he was actually laughing out loud. It made me laugh as well.
As well as a child who laughs really hard when I tickle him.

I know this is just an everyday thing, but for me it is very special to connect to these Chinese children in this way.
