Nest Building

We had purchased some pet friendly slug repellent but it wasn't keeping the slugs away from the plants. Then I remembered someone telling me that dog hair was good for keeping slugs away from the tender new plant growth.

We had kept some of Roxy's coat clippings to try out the theory.

I'm not sure if it works. Some plants seem to have avoided slug attack and others have definitely been nibbled.

However, the little birds have appreciated it and are using it to line their nests.

Probably best to go large.
