Nature red in tooth and claw

I was up for work this morning and looked out my window to see a local cat with a Magpie standing menacingly behind it. Closer inspection showed why. the cat was eating out of an egg that had fallen from the tree.
Good on Mr/Mrs Magpie for trying to defend the family but, a bit futile!
Not sure the quality of this photo. The egg debris is in the centre.
