splf...my story

Ev

I'm finding this is going to be more of a journey journal than a photo exhibit. I'm new to stills...don't know much...but I'm anxious to post what is important to me.

Evelyn Goodwin is important to me. She's been like a second Mom for more years than I can remember...even before I lost mine. At nearly 91 Evelyn hasn't been to the doctor since I'd known her, lives on her own and cherish the simplest things in life. That all changed with her stroke on April 5th.

She had a mild one first. Took a cab home from the hospital at 1am because, although she'd promised she would, Evelyn wouldn't spend the night. The next day she had another stroke. This one leaving her right side paralyzed.

Fast forward to today. Ev's rehab facility is wonderful. Her boys have done a top notch job of getting her the best care possible. She's made more progress in her two weeks than most make in 30 days. Most important, She's still in there. Her mind is sharp as a tac.

It was great to see you today...Love you Grammy Ev...keep your faith, your kindness and your love. You promised me you'd live to be 100...don't break that one!!!!
