The Blackfriar

I have visitors this weekend from the States so I am looking for places to go to and things to do. I have admired this from passing by and am considering a visit.

It advertises an eclectic range of real ales and quality pub food, and of course it is a fab building, apparently an Art Nouveau Grade II masterpiece built in 1905 on the site of a Dominican friary. I love the shape. Who makes buildings this shape now?
