wedding surprises

Mikes sister got married today in the Lake District. It was an out door ceremony, bitterly cold with snow on the mountain tops, but lots of sunshine. It was an utterly unique day with many surprises. The day was organised by their children as part of a new CBBC series. I have to keep quiet until August.....arhhhhh!!! It was wonderful and I'm sure all the hanging about in the freezing weather will be long forgotten come August. I'll probably have thawed by then and have had the toes successfully reattached.
I have to report back to the people who gave me clothing advise that I pretty much wore everything advised...all at once. Many of us looked like the Alaska homeless, we just kept piling on the layers. It was fine because we were all in the same boat!
The children and their parents did a magnificent job and it was beautifully emotional, eloquent, intelligent, thoughtful, funny and novel. It felt like a deeply meaningful marriage and just part of one couples successful journey through life together.
