Type

An unbrilliant phone pic - I forgot my camera - but this is what I spent two happy hours doing this evening. I picked my type (Caslon, some of it quite new from a foundry in Switzerland) out of the cases, set it in a composing stick (which is not a stick at all but a hand-sized metal holder set to a fixed width) then transferred it three to four lines at a time into this galley (tray). Five more lines to do next week.

If you spot any typos let me know. I have seen two, but they get corrected not in the galley but once the type has all been transferred to the forme - which may be next week's picture.

This is such fun! (I am such a geek.)
