Memories

Today I went back to Stonehaven where I lived for 11 wonderful years....i went for coffee in mollys were i used to work, and wandered along the beach with my dog murphy and my friend jenna.....it seems like a lifetime ago since i was there, but yet only a year....anyway.so it got me to thinking how this  view always makes me catch my breath....so many memories that I never want to leave me....
1....The unfinished monument on the hill...this is where my ex husband proposed to me
2....the harbour where I spent many a sunny day having a drink and laughs with my friends
3....very very happy times that are etched deep in my memory
4....the beach where I used to take my beloved murphy walking...and did again today
5....the outdoor pool...which I must add I have still to try out...can't believe I lived there 11yrs and never went to the midnight bathing...
6....sitting on the beach discussing life with my beloved George till it was too cold to move...
7....being very ill for many years and every day exercising and walking much further than I should have...I'm surprised I haven't left indentations in the ground
8....seeing the rough tides and thinking of my father in law who was in the lifeboat rescue
9....wandering down every Tuesday to watch George diving off the pier....his police underwater search and rescue training...
10....leaving my heart there when I moved away......

What a beautiful magical place....
