One Day Like This

Nuwara Eliya

An English colonial village in the Sri Lankan hills, picked for it's cool hill climate and lush green tea plants. The Sri Lankans call it Little England, the Lonely Planet ironically dubs it Little Britain for its surreal mix of saris, red phone boxes, colonial houses and tuktuks. And while we were pleasantly surprised by temperatures around 20 degrees celsius, the inhabitants walked around with ear warmers, scarfs and jackets.

Brilliant.
