A day out?

Found some photos of the chooks enjoying the freedom of the whole of Inskip Towers garden areas. They're usually confined to their ample enclosure during the summer months so they don't damage the borders.
So why are they out?
They could have all jumped/flown over the fence or DB has felt sorry for them and let them out for an hour. I suspect the latter as the rain hammered down last night turning the 'Hen Pen' into a mud bath.
