A tuft of tufted ducks?

Please view LARGE
Cycled up to the reservoir at 8.30 this morning. Success! No scary fishermen to chase me away!

The resident water-based population is now Greylag geese, coots, great crested grebe and these very wary tufted ducks. Actually they are all pretty nervous - just wish I could spend the day in the pop-up hide...
Also 'caught' blackcap and twite in the vegetation on the edge and the hoot of tawny owl (yes in the daytime!) in the small wood adjacent. I think there is a nesting pair there (to be investigated some other time).
The grebes are patrolling one section so think a nest has been started but both were on the water when I was there.
Back home after an hour and then off to Birmingham for the first of 10 classes to improve my range of movement and teach me how to walk etc without falling over. Me and 4 blokes (not the thrill you might think!) - oh joy :)

Work tomorrow. Even better! Hey ho
