Faded Glory

A bit like ...
...no not going to go there.
I went to put something away and noticed these on the dresser. Thought they might make an interesting photo. I took some close up and realised I needed a plain background, when I started taking pictures I noticed the shadows. By playing around with the distance between the card and flowers I eventually got a shot I liked.
We think these a dried Astrantia. The name is derived from the Greek word for star in reference to the star-like quality of the flower heads. They are commonly known as great masterwort; neither of us knew that.
