Negombo beach

After arrival in Sri Lanka and a day in an Ayurvedic resort, we arrived in Negombo, a sea side town on the west coast. Met my friend M. here, who is working in Colombo and spent two days on the beach and the streets of Negombo.

These quite primitive fishing boats are very cost effective as we were told. The wide spread use of mobile phones gives the fishermen the opportunity to sell the fish even before getting back to land. Modern times!
