Rue des 60 degrés

This street near our house is a fraud. A degré is a step in old French but careful counting reveals there are in fact 96 steps. Is this why I am out of breath at the top, expectation confounded? Should I complain to the Council? I think I will let it pass this time. If you look over the wall on the right hand side there is an old mine entrance in someone's garden. Our neighbour's house is built up against an old entrance. Radon finds its way to the surface through any hole or fissure. I don't think I will worry about that either.
