Tim's Treasure
My friend Tim Dunn is an activist and book man of Philadelphia whose activity includes Books Through Bars. This past week after getting the use of a room in the adjoining building, he was given some old prints by Herman W. Wenzel, an entomologist and illustrator connected with the Academy of Natural Sciences a century ago. With a little research it turned out that these are rare and the museum is interested in acquiring them. He figures that Wenzel lived next door back in the days when the building was new. Here he is showing me and a few others one of the seven old prints. They were made in 1916.
