Chaos!

Roadworks are starting today on the Chaussee de Bruxelles which our road turns onto. It's being re-surfaced and is the main road through to Brussels unless going on the Ring (motorway).

Chaussee de Bruxelles has been made 'one way' and we are unable to turn out of our road - although we can go in the alternative direction from our house, which is also 'one way' but then the next major road is blocked at the end where it meets the Chaussee!

After we've managed to get out - we have to work out how we get back home as we can't come up either 'one way' road!

So this morning I went for a walk with Louis to suss it out and there's no easy option. I can get to work, but I can't get home without going across Waterloo in the wrong direction, joining the Ring for one junction and coming back down the Chaussee to turn into our road. It will be a nightmare at rush hour and everywhere will be at a standstill.

As you can tell, I was blipping away as I was walking around - and decided to combine these three photos to show the chaos!

Oh well, time to head to work - ON FOOT!! Just hope it doesn't rain...
