Boy and violin

I've wanted today end since it began. Not long to go. Don't know what's wrong, just haven't felt right. John had his friend staying over. I probably shouldn't have had him staying as I could feel a shadow coming over yesterday.

I couldn't get the bike shed open cos Kevin had left with the keys.
I really wanted to get our bikes out.
I really needed to get out on my bike.
I couldn't and that wasn't good.

The day carried on. Things happened, stuff was done, my mood wobbled throughout.

Then I had to play Monopoly as it was last day of holidays and that was the only request John had.

Then he had to squeeze two weeks worth of violin practice into ten minutes.

Isn't he getting big hands?
