Short-eared owl

A quick cycle down to Scapa pier after dinner. A beautiful evening- the forecast is for gales tomorrow so it was a good idea to take advantage of the calm. Not many birds about on the water- some eider etc but this owl was sitting in the long grass on the ridge above the road as I headed back.
