Oh what a tangled web we weave!

I love trees that do not conform to normal growth patterns.
On the way home from work tonight, it's ok we had a training day so no children, I stopped to take this picture as I find this tree very lovely. It's ok, have not turned into a tree hugger, just like to see how knarled it is.
In different lights you can see shapes in the trunk which I find fascinating.
