The ONLY way to travel !

Said our goodbyes and headed off to Canberra airport for the flights home.

Our flights were overbooked and they offered us alternate ones via Japan and Frankfurt but full use of the Business Class lounges, upgraded seats for the 9 hr flight to Japan and cash compensation !

Being a canny scot - you didn't have to ask me twice.

We had to hang about the business class lounge in Sydney airport (where this blip was taken) but with free food, drink and fabulous showers and fluffy towels. Don't think I was born to fly economy !

Interesting fact (as told by my husband ...who is full of it sometimes (....interesting facts that is!) - 9 hrs after leaving Sydney we arrived at Narita airport in Japan. Time-wise we were only had to adjust our watches by 1 hour behind Sydney - but we we had lost two seasons ! Weird eh? It was Spring in Japan but Autumn in Oz !
