Only In My Dreams

As it was the last day of the boys holidays before going back to school/nursery we took the to the Grampian Transport Museum. We have been there before but it was a cheap trip out.

What you see here is a Colnago Ferrari racing bike from 2007.

Ernesto Colnago was a cycle racer before he started to build bikes in Cambiago, a small town outside Milan in Italy in 1954. Since then Colnago bike have been used by hundreds of teams and won thousands of cycle races.

The machine here celebrates Ernasto's the long friendship with the late Enzo Ferrari and Ferrari's 60th anniversary. It is mostly built from carbon fibre and extremely light and strong enough to enter the the Tour De France. The cost new in 2007 was $14,000 US Dollars. This one is owned (and raced ) by Francis Duguid of Ballater.
