Wood sorrel

Overnight in the midlands, to see my Dad who is poorly in hospital. Early morning I had a quick walk round one of my favourite birdwatching spots from when I first started in the 60s. It's an active gravel working and not surprisingly the landscape has changed quite a bit since those days, but it's still a great place. The ancient woodland has masses of wood sorrel, and the first bluebells just starting to come out.
