done that
Whilst it was our turn to host Ayr-and-Glasweego people, the smallness of the house and the closedness of the roads for the half-marathon suggested an alternative meeting-location, which turned out to be the zoo. We forgot to book panda-timeslot tickets when the date was chosen but a swift bicycle out to Costorphine just before the ticket-office opened (despite the prematurely-closed roads threatening to delay me and there already being a queue when I got there) ensured that a panda-viewing was booked, leaving time for a quick trundle and a coffee and a muffin before returning to the zoo to meet people and spend a nice day trundling around muttering under my breath about people mis-categorising primates. The wingpiglet was excellently-behaved all day, even sleeping for half an hour in the macpacbackpack despite the screechings and warblings of beasts and childrens all around us.
