Early walking with the mutt I love the fact that I can see Scout Moor wind farm in the distance. It's great being able to just pop up for a walk.

Strangely enough it's just been on countryfile, with some nimby complaining about them. Always annoys me that the people who complain are happy to use electricity as long as the pollution pumping power station is on someone else's doorstep. They also forget the 'timeless moors' were forest a few centuries ago.

I have to admit I am a fan of wind farms and, if the choice is between these and a traditional power station, the sculptural statuesque beauty of the turbines get my vote every time.
