blooming within,
a sure sign of winter's end -
a catkin.


A Sunday afternoon down the birdwatch trail with herons, swans, ducks, geese, a few birds of prey and lots of small chirpers - can you imagine a more splendid end to the weekend (not that I'm actually wanting it to end)?
