Forget-Me-Not
Myosotis ( /?ma?.??so?t?s/;[1] from the Greek: "mouse's ear", after the leaf) is a genus of flowering plants in the family Boraginaceae that are commonly called Forget-me-nots. Its common name was calqued from the French, ne m'oubliez pas and first used in English in c. 1532. Similar names and variations are found in many languages.
These tiny, often over-looked, flowers are all over the hedgerows as you walk at the moment, blinking among the dandelion and cowslip. Maybe they are there to remind you of people you should be contacting?
Another lovely weekend of family. A trip out with my siblings yesterday and right good natter with my brother this morning.
He pointed his hire car back south and Tess and I went to the Southern Washlands. We saw grebe and heron and were hissed at by Daddy swans.
My brother just rang to say he was home safe and had resurrected his mobile phone in a bag of rice! Remember that if you accidentally wash your phone in a pocket. Put it in a bag of rice to dry it out.
Now listen to Forget Me Not by Roy Harper.
