The invisible deer

Visiting Scott, this is the view from his back door just as the light starts fading.

I was so busy faffing about trying to get this shot right that I missed a deer gallop past me. Very frustrating, especially as earlier in the day I also missed a shot of a bullfinch sitting outside our bedroom window.
