Rape seed oil plants
This is my village taken from the edge of the Wolds, hills (yes there are hills in Lincolnshire!) that are as pleasing as the Downs south of London. The tower on the horizon is the Stump, in Boston 12 miles away which is featured in other blips of mine! If you suffer from hay fever this is not the time to visit as the yellow oil seed rape seems to cover the county in a yellow blanket. Like most of the produce in England it is mainly used for animal feed. Farming monoculture is leading us down a slippery path towards problems that may need drastic solutions
