Cowslips or Primroses?

I dodged the rain showers to have a lie down in the garden to take this picture of the cowslips. I actually do know that these are cowslips as my friend Jane aka Mr H's Mum taught me the difference.

Mr H's Mum taught me mostly everything I know about flowers, she knew such a lot and I greatly miss her and her teaching.

Her parents were part of a 'club/society' of wild flower enthusiasts, it probably still exists, Mr H and I are a bit sketchy about the details.

I believe that cowslips have one stalk with several flower heads but each primrose flower has its own little stalk, whatever it is I know and I am a bit unclear, it seems to work for me!
