For those in peril on the sea.

Eternal Father, strong to save
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave
Who biddest the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea

O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at Thy Word
Who walked on the foaming deep
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea

Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude
And bid its angry tumult cease
And give, for wild confusion, peace
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea

O Trinity of love and power
Our family shield in dangers hour
From rock and tempest, fire and foe
Protect us wheresoever we go
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea

Eternal Father

For the Record,
This day came in warm and gorgeous. Took T to the Logan Express bus, she's off to New Orleans on a quick business trip. I usually go on these trips, but the cat separation makes it difficult for our sitter to manage them as easily. It's lonesome already. She'll be home Wednesday night and G & his parents home on Monday. I'm not like Nora or my mother, I can be alone, but don't love it nights on end.

I found the tiny old photo with waves and iceberg while rummaging through all the old photos. It could have been taken by Gordon, his younger brother Sam, or another old salt.

G sent me the script with (photos inserted that will be projected) so far for our play, it brought me to tears, what a wonderful experience to work together with him, he's so gifted. We're working on a title. He will sing as well.

More Nora translation available on yesterday's entry!!
