Book or film?

Bought this book a while ago but haven't had time to read it yet.
We went to see the film on Friday and I thought it was really good.
It was scary, violent and sometimes humorous in a weird kind of way.
I've read all of his other ones with Harry Hole as the detective and really enjoyed them. Maybe on a par with Stieg Larsson.
