Surely there's been a mistake?

We have a new sofa. It's leather. So Rufus, formerly king of the scruffy old sofa, is now banned. As you can see, he's taking it well and we feel under absolutely no pressure to relent.

Took him to the DvD shop tonight to help me choose some films. A man in there gave him a pat and said 'he's lovely, but doesn't his face need a haircut?' I said, indignantly 'that IS his haircut!'. Does he think that eyebrow/beard combo just happens by accident?!
