If you go down to the woods ...
...sometimes you find odd structures.
We are trying to visit new places near to where we live. Thanks to Fragments of Heaven we decided to make for Micheldever Woods. The woods are mainly beech trees interspersed with conifer and the occasional oak. At the moment they are carpeted with bluebells so there are patches of a wonderful blue.
There are Iron Age earth works and burial mounds and a more modern climbing fort. This is near the children's climbing fort, I have no idea what it is and I can't tell if the structure is level and the rail askew or vice versa.
I like the light and shade on the structure, the way the eye is drawn along the wooden rail with last years leaves covering the ground and the green of this years foliage showing through.
