It's been a hard day. Useless meetings and kids with iceberg issues (the 10% of problem related behaviour you see at the top is nothing compared to the 90% they are dealing with under the surface ... doobys book of youth work theory). It's a constant reminder that however good our intentions as workers, we are only ever accompanying them on the journey ... and hoping against the odds they will gain something positive from it.
Feeling philosophical ... really must go to bed!
