Village blossom

The road through our village, leading down to the Malt Shovel pub and then on to Wilsden hence Wilsden Rd, is lined with a mixture of Almond and Cherry trees.

As you can imagine at this time of year they are a very attractive feature.

I noticed how well in flower the trees were when I retuned from this morning's appointment at the hairdressers, so took the opportunity to photograph them before the wind and rain, forecast for next week, decimates them.

The ones at the bottom of the road tend to flower a little later so I may take a look at those later.
