The National ticket

This is Judith, handing me the winninglosing ticket for the Grand National!
I know the race generates mixed views but it has long been a family tradition (we're Scousers originally) to place a bet on the National.
I'm quite comfortable in a betting shop now and each year make the pilgrimage. It always fascinates me to see who is in there - even first thing in the morning. One day I must spend a day doing a portrait study!
Another beautiful morning so I'm off into the garden to look for my swallows and house martins (they are due today!).
I love this time of year.
