Gardner's Crescent

Up and about early to make the most of the sunshine. Here is a blip of Rosemount Buildings, Gardners Crescent, Fountainbridge. These workemen's houses were designed by William Lambie Moffatt and completed in 1860. It is refreshing to see some historical brickwork buildings in Edinburgh as most of the houses and tenements (though wonderful) were build of sandstone.

Gardners Crescent is a lovely crescent which has had a lot of refurbishment including the reinstatement of the gardens in front of the crescent. The residents have also set up Friends of Gardners Crescent and take a real interest in their community, something many other parts of Edinburgh, Scotland and the UK could learn from.

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday?
