Blustery birding

Went birding this afternoon around the East Bay. This Snowy Egret was hanging around the Hayward Regional Shoreline, where it was in fact a bit windy.

Species previously blipped in Florida, 17 Dec 2008.

The Bay Area experienced an epic lightning storm last night. It passed right over; thunder shook the house and the power went out a couple times. Very unusual for this area and very exciting!
