Greater Yellow Leg

Yep, that is what they are called and they were in abundance at Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge today; as were the snipes, long-billed dowichers and waterfowl. We also the eagle's nest with both adults and a little head.

I have a cool shot of the American Bittern in my blipfolio, but I posted a shot of him recently so I went with this little guy instead.

I had the day off so I went to inspect my dad's new sofa and wingback chairs today. Then it was lunch and the refuge. On my way home I swung past Whitaker Ponds and only found one of the baby owls and he was tucked away in an unphotographable position.

Now it is time for dinner and to see what all of you have been up to.
