Opening Frond

I am lucky I don't have to go very far to photograph these amazing Punga leaves emerging in a coil as we have one in our garden.
This morning it is overcast and still so I thought I would have a look to see if there was a new one emerging, and sure enough there was..
I took it using my macro and with a relatively shallow depth of field, focusing on the new uncurling piece in the centre. with a larger depth of field I would have got more in focus but then the background leaves would be very busy.
