Missed a few

This is not one of those 3D things where you have to squint and cross your eyes.

Over the last few weeks, since it's been warm enough to spend hours outside, I have systematically removed an enormous amount of pebbles from the water feature which consists of a rubber-lined basin filled with a mixture of these two grades of pebbles. In the landscaping trade, it is known as rip-rap or crip-crap as I prefer to call it. The day the landscapers dumped it into the basin, neither Mr. M or I were home. The next day when they showed up, I expressed my disappointment and because they were not going to remove any of it, they tried to convince me that one needed a basin that large for the circulating pump to function properly. Which was utter crip-crap. And that, unless you specify 'only tumbled pebbles' and pay a lot more, this is what you get.

Now I suppose we could have hired someone else to do all this heavy digging and carrying buckets of pebbles and my toe would, of course, be intact if we had. They would, of course, not do what I did in phase one of the project, which was to separate the decorative river pebbles from the stuff underneath and then separate these two grades of pebbles so I can repurpose the keepers. I'm at the point now where I don't care if a few pretty ones make it into the ugly pile.

If it wasn't cold and windy outside with intermittent drops, I'd be out there today too. Instead, I made up a package to send home to some coldly southern hemispherites and did some very necessary hard drive cleaning and backing up.
