golf ball drop

Some days I feel like an alien observer from another planet....

The Skyline football team beat Central High 36-0.

After the game the band boosters had the big "golf ball drop".
Tickets were sold corresponding to each golf ball to be "dropped". A wooden stake was stuck into the turf in the middle of the field. The golf balls were subsequently dropped from a low fying helicopter (see photo above) onto the football field. Ticketholders whose golfball was closest to the stake won a prize.
I was nonplussed but I did buy tickets to support the band.

I wonder what the FAA and NTSB would have to say if someone were whacked in the head by a flying golf ball dropped from a helicopter.
