Waterfoot Sunrise

Spoot Boats

The weather since we came back from out holidays has been great with a cool northerly winds and lots of blue in the sky. Its probably our best wind direction at this time of year as it tends to be dry with excellent visibility.

The spoot boats, which fish for razor clams, were for some reason tied up at the harbour this morning with no sign of life. As I wandered down the harbour I was struck by the colours around me. Not just the boats, but also the bright blue of the sky and the wonderful white puffy clouds. There was also something about the surface of the water, which seemed to have a sheen to it. It certainly had! On closer inspection I could see a very thin layer of fuel oil!

Been a great day to be out in the garden removing lots of weeds that sprung up while we were away. The sounds of spring surrounded us and there was nowhere else we would rather be!
