Possibly the best sandwich in the world..
I've been eating cheese and jam sandwiches for as long as I remember. It's like an addiction, I have at least one a day, today this is my second. They are a mid-meal snack sandwich, more than a lunch sandwich, but are excellent toasted as well for a warm supper.
The recipe for this one is:
Freshly baked wholemeal bread, (still warm from the breadmaker.)
Olive spread (on one side of each slice)
Vintage Pilgrims choice cheddar
Home-made wild bramble and apple jam.
yum.
There are other great combinations out there, but the bramble and apple jam is very versatile, goes great with double gloucester, red leicester, cheshire, lancashire and even wensleydale. For a blue cheese I'd recommend an Apricot jam though..
Some people may think this is weird. Trust me, it's a taste sensation.
