Reggae busker

You know summer's getting nearer when the Saturday market is bathed in sunshine and the buskers come out to play....

This guy is a regular at the market and has the most gorgeous voice. You could very easily stand and drift away in his music and not even realise time was passing (and many do!!) He plays a reggae style and always seems to have lots of his whanau (family) and supporters around. Don't be put off by his facial tattoos or his rather brash appearance - he's a really cool guy and one of the market's popular characters :)

As I continued on through town I also came across 2 bagpipers and 2 brass horn players. By the time summer is really here no doubt there will be a small truck load more to add to the list. They really do add a huge amount of vibrancy and cheer to Saturday morning shopping.

Today was also the day I did my first fully commisioned family photo shoot :) It was just an hour (teenage boys don't want their photos taken and always have aother places to be/people to be with!) They were a really lovely family though and the hour simply flew by with lots of laughs and clicking. I'll deliver the disc of pics to them either tomorrow or early next week and then I'll get a feel for how successful it all was - from their perspective!!
