Tanuf
We're getting out of Muscat this weekend and heading to Nizwa to try and capture some images at the market.
Just outside Nizwa is the abandoned village of Tanuf. Apparently in the late 1950s, there was some rebellion by the people of this town, which led to it being bombed during the war. The villagers fled to the mountains and their homes were completely destroyed.
It looks like there is a road being built through it now, presumably to capitalise on it as a tourist attraction. As it stood today, Larissa and I were the only people there.
