Easter Cross
Took a walk on Otley Chevin today.
The cross is erected every year around the Easter period.
I also learned how the Chevin was formed. Millions of years ago it was part of a huge river delta and built up with deposits of sand and mud to form millstone grit.
Then movement of the earth's tectonic plates caused this to heave up leaving the ridge we have today, forming the southern side of the Wharfe Valley in our area.
