Day 4

We all walked into the first potential venue this morning and knew this was "the one".
It is a huge hotel with a massive entrance foyer - but there was just something about it.
When the wedding planner came out he immediately introduced himself to No1 son and future daughter-in-law and addressed them by name which was the first time that had happened.
He took us on a tour and as soon as we saw the grounds and the view I knew by the grin on daughter-in-law to be that she had made up her mind.
Even after some number crunching and haggling it was the most expensive place (by quite a way) but it is definitely "the one".
Daughter-in-law to be mother is still concerned about price and I had to explain to her that it will be less than ¼ of the price a similar standard of hotel (without the view and weather) would be in Britain and how much Bags (formally known as daughter) weeding had cost four years ago. (I still don't think she in convinced though).

We didn't even bother going round the next venue - but did engage the services of the wedding planner though which (in theory) will take the pressure off mother of the bride - who is already set to explode.

Mother & father of the bride then headed for home and left the rest of us to meet the preferred photographers. (MotB thinks they must be fly-by-nights because they don't have a High Street studio). They are a wonderful couple who have been Cyprus's top photographers for years and every venue we have been to say they are the best.

Evening meal was at a place in a town miles away.
We went there because then we could see some of the country and it was a very special place according to MotB ???? it was pitch black when we left the house so we would see nothing and the place was 'special' because it caters for ex-pats and is cheap.

I need a break from the woman
