My very best friend flew in from Dallas today. I was able to pick her up from the airport and spend a few hours catching up with her before all of the actives for her sister's wedding tomorrow began.

We went for lunch at Tulip Noir, a breakfast and lunch cafe occupying the former home of "our" places, a muffin shop that closed down years ago. She was posing by her tea while it steeped.

We ran errands to pick up food and spirits for the wedding party, really the most fun anyone could ever have while grocery shopping, and at the liquor store, we got our own private wine tasting!

The weather was just amazing, a warm, but not too warm, spring day with the clearest of blue skies, so after dropping off her luggage at the Omni downtown, we went for a nice walk to the Starbucks on Monument Circle to get away from all of the wedding chaos.

A great way to spend a day with a dear friend.
